Rich Rodriguez: An easy solution is to feed our players breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Rich Rodriguez believes the talk of college athletes receiving stipends will continue until something is done about it.
He believes there's an easy solution, one that quite frankly is hard to imagine isn't already taking place.
Rich Rod said during the Tim Brando Radio Show on Monday morning, "I think it's going to be brought up sooner than that. And we're going to keep talking about it until something is done. I don't know if the stipend is the easiest answer, (but) I got an easy solution and it's been talked about a little bit."
"Let's allow all the schools to give all the athletes meals. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Right now, they get meals, but it comes out of their scholarship check. Let's provide meals on top of the scholarship. Let us feed them breakfast, lunch, and dinner."
"If nothing else, that's an easy solution to help them get through their college careers. And everyone wants to feed them right anyway. I think that's an easier solution than trying to figure out what kind of stipend to give them."
Strength & conditioning coaches would be all for it. There are so many positives related to eating healthy.
One issue, however, would be the cafeteria staff. Are they going to prepare meals three times a day?
Undoubtedly, the quality of the food would then become a recruiting sell for certain programs and a detriment to others. Those with the highest budgets, obviously can produce the best meals.
