Mark Hudsepth is stoked about the game day atmosphere at Cajun Field that helped Louisiana-Lafayette win its sixth consecutive home game dating back to last season.

During his weekly press conference, Hudspeth said, "No question about it, there's not a team in the Sun Belt that comes close.  A lot of people brag, but I'm going to be honest with you, our fans and our student-body walk the walk.  You don't see anybody else with that kind of support.

"I was just blown away by our student-body and fans.  And to be raining just about the whole game and raining up to kick-off, to see that many people brave the weather, our players really appreciated it.  Our players understand the importance of playing hard at Cajun Field and they're going to do that because of the dedication of our fans."

UL travels to Troy this week for a pivotal early season Sun Belt Conference game.  Hudspeth believes his team surprised Larry Blakeney's team last season during the 31-17 win over the Trojans.

Hud said, "Joe Frazier once said the punch that knocks you out is the one you didn't see coming."

This year, the Trojans know they'll be in for a dog fight.

UL-Lafayette vs. Lamar 25,803
MTSU vs. McNeese State 18,690
Western Kentucky vs. Austin Peay 16,327
FAU vs. Wagner 14,510
