Detroit Lions: BLESTO scout Alan Anderson has been promoted to area scout, according to MLive. Anderson joined the Lions in 2010 and spent three seasons as a pro personnel assistant before promotion to scouting.
Arizona Cardinals: Bruce Arians tells The Arizona Republic that he doesn’t know how much longer he will coach, but the Cardinals job will be his last job. Arians is 34-14 in three seasons with the Cardinals.
Texas: The school will begin a search for a permanent athletic director in the fall, according to the Austin American-Statesman. Mike Perrin has been the interim AD since last fall. It’s unknown if Texas will use a search firm.
NFL: Head of security Jeff Miller will leave the league at the end of the month, according to CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora. Miller has been with the NFL since 2008.
Missouri: Barry Odom says defensive coordinator DeMontie Cross will have full control of the defense and call plays.
Tennessee Titans: Panthers assistant college scouting director Ryan Cowden has accepted the director of player personnel job with the Titans, according to the Charlotte Observer. Cowden had been with the Panthers since 2000.
Carolina Panthers: College scout John Peterson will retire, according to the Charlotte Observer. The 67-year-old Peterson has been with the Panthers since 2008 and has been in football for four decades, including stints as head coach at Frostburg State and Bemidji State.
Mississippi State: Dan Mullen tells the Daily Journal that he has “no intention of ever leaving” Mississippi State. Mullen is 55-35 in seven seasons at MSU.
Tennessee Titans: Scouts Mike Yowarsky and Marv Sunderland will not return, according to ESPN. Yowarsky spent the last three seasons with the Titans. Sunderland spent the past nine with the Titans and has scouted for nearly 40 years.
