Kennesaw State (GA): Berry College (GA) wide receivers coach / special teams coordinator Ossie Buchannon has joined the Kennesaw State staff as wide receivers coach. Buchannon spent four years at Berry.

Michigan State: Director of college advancement & performance Curtis Blackwell has received another 1-month contract extension through May and remains suspended with pay, according to MLive.

BC Lions: Idaho State cornerbacks coach Stanley Franks has joined the BC Lions staff. Franks had been at ISU since 2014 and played for the Lions from 2009-11.

Central Michigan: The school has announced four finalists for the athletic director job: Notre Dame senior associate AD Mike Harrity, Texas-Rio Grande Valley AD Chris King, Oklahoma senior associate AD Michael Alford and San Jose State interim AD Marie Tuite. On-campus interviews will happen from May 1-9.

Louisiana College: Head coach / athletic director Dennis Dunn has accepted the head coaching job at Pineville High School (LA). Dunn went 65-45 in 11 years leading LC.

Pitt State (KS): Defensive backs coach Lance Cullen has left the staff to pursue interests in the private sector, and graduate assistant Nate Dreiling has been promoted to safeties coach. Dreiling, a former great Pitt State player, joined the staff in January after two years at Kansas. In addition, former Pitt State player Keeston Terry has joined the staff as a defensive backs GA, and the school is still hiring an offensive line GA and defensive line GA.

West Virginia Wesleyan: Former FAU quality control assistant Tom Keane has joined the West Virginia Wesleyan staff as running backs / H-backs coach. Keane spent one year at FAU and previously worked at Colgate.

Baylor: The athletic department has announced the additions of Air Force assistant AD of external operations Mitch Mann (associate AD for resource development), The King’s University director of communications Jovan Overshown (associate AD of engagement), and Indiana director of basketball creative strategy Andrew Lentz (associate AD for branding & creative services).

Buffalo Bills: Pro Football Talk reports the team’s scouts expect big changes on its scouting staff next week, after the draft.

Georgia: Senior associate AD / CFO Andy Platt has left UGA for a position at a bank, according to the Athens Banner-Herald. Platt joined Georgia in December 2014 and previously worked at Rice. 

Northwestern: Asked about the buyout on Pat Fitzgerald’s 10-year contract, athletic director Jim Phillips says, “It’s mutually binding. It’s cost-prohibitive, if either side wants to part prematurely, but that’s the right statement.” Read more here.

Limestone College (SC): Former Kutztown (PA) offensive line / tight ends coach Corey Woods is the new offensive line coach at Limestone, and former Valdosta State graduate assistant Taylor Anderson is Limestone’s new defensive backs coach. Woods spent the last four years at Kutztown, and Anderson spent one year at Valdosta State.

Tennessee: College Football Playoff CFO Reid Sigmon has joined Tennessee as executive associate athletic director and COO. Sigmon spent four years with the CFP and previously worked under new Tennessee AD John Currie at Kansas State from 2009-13.

Florida Atlantic: Per source, Southern Miss defensive graduate assistant Rip Rowan has joined the FAU staff as a defensive GA. Rowan spent two years at Southern Miss and was previously a high school assistant in Tennessee.

Washington: Per source, Southern Miss special teams quality control assistant Jeff Crosby has joined the Washington staff in the same role. 

Idaho State: Matt Troxel has returned to the ISU staff as offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach. Troxel left ISU for Montana in January, but has returned to his previous role. Troxel has been at ISU since 2011.

Tommy Tuberville: 247Sports reports Tuberville will not run for governor of Alabama, after exploring the possibility. 

Illinois Wesleyan: Wesleyan (CT) defensive coordinator / linebackers coach Jeff McDonald has joined the Illinois Wesleyan staff as defensive coordinator. McDonald spent the last eight years at Wesleyan. 

Ball State: Offensive line coach Kyle DeVan has added the title of assistant head coach, and linebackers coach Johnny Curtis has added the title of defensive run game coordinator. Both are entering their second year on staff. In addition, defensive line GA Shawn Chaffee has moved to linebackers, defensive backs GA Cory Connolly has moved to defensive line, wide receivers GA Dean Petzing has moved to offensive line, and new GA Blair Cavanaugh will work with wide receivers.

Pitt: Deputy athletic director for external affairs Julio Freire has resigned. He had been at Pitt since March 2016 and was previously the AD at UT-Martin.

Northwestern: Pat Fitzgerald has agreed to a contract extension through 2026, according to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy. Fitzgerald has led the Wildcats since 2006, posting a 77-62 record, and the former player has been on staff since 2001. He earned $3.35 million in 2014, the most recent available salary from the private school. ESPN's Adam Rittenberg adds that the assistant salary pool will "remain competitive."

Albany State (GA): Charleston Southern offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Gabe Giardina has been named head coach at Albany State. Giardina spent the last four years at CSU, previously coached at Delta State and worked as an Alabama graduate assistant from 2005-07.

Middle Tennessee: Offensive line coach Rick Mallory is back working and on the recruiting trail after suffering a heart attack early last week.

Virginia University of Lynchburg: Former Adrian College (MI) inside linebackers coach Jordan Odaffer and former ASA Miami tight ends coach Larry Williams have joined the VUL staff as assistant coaches. Odaffer spent the last four years at Adrian, and Williams spent two years at ASA Miami. In addition, independent trainer Glen Phillips has joined the VUL staff as running backs coach / recruiting coordinator. 

Maryland: Wide receivers coach Chris Beatty has added the title of associate head coach. Beatty is entering his second season on staff.
