Rick Trickett: All three of Rick’s sons have taken different paths into coaching. Here is our feature story.

Ave Maria (FL): Binghamton assistant athletic director for leadership, counseling and life skills Kimberly King has been named athletic director at Ave Maria. At Binghamton, King also served as assistant athletic director for academic and student services, associate athletic director / senior woman administrator and head cross country coach.

Fordham: Colby College (ME) offensive coordinator Shane Fogarty has joined the Fordham staff. Fogarty spent 2013 at UConn as safeties coach after previously coaching at Fordham in 2012 as tight ends coach / special teams coordinator.

Samford: Former Troy running backs coach Jeff Beckles has joined the Samford staff as running backs coach. Beckles coached at Troy from 2010-14 and previously coached the running backs at Central Michigan from 2007-09. Other stops in his career include Georgia and Georgia Southern.

Cal: The San Francisco Chronicle reports Cal interim athletic director Mike Williams is expected to be named to the permanent position. Williams has been in the interim role since July 2014. He was elected to the UC Berkeley Foundation Board of Trustees in 2007.

Springfield College (MA): Former Citadel slotbacks coach Lou Conte has joined the Springfield staff as quarterbacks coach. Conte spent the past two seasons at Citadel after two years at Lenoir-Rhyne. 

The Citadel: Presbyterian wide receivers coach Brian Rucker has joined the Citadel staff as wide receivers coach, according to his Twitter account. Rucker had been at Presbyterian since 2010 after two years at Lenoir Rhyne. Previous Citadel wide receivers coach J.P. Gunter has moved to slotbacks coach.

Philadelphia Eagles: Director of college scouting Anthony Patch, pro personnel director Rick Mueller and area scout Brad Obee have been dismissed, according to the Philadelphia Daily News. The three were close with former general manager Howie Roseman, who is now the executive vice president of football operations, as Chip Kelly took over player personnel control in January. 

New York Jets: The Jets have announced the dismissals of director of pro personnel Brendan Prophett and college scouts Rick Courtright, David Hinson, Cole Hufnagel, Chris Prescott and Seth Turner. All six were holdovers from the previous front office regime. 

Furman: Athletic director Gary Clark will step down, but remain for a period of time to assistant in the transition to a new AD. Clark has served as AD at Furman since 2000.

Colorado State: Per source, Mississippi State intern Mike Stacchiotti will join the CSU staff as a graduate assistant strength coach.

Southern Illinois: Western Illinois athletic director Tommy Bell has been named athletic director at Southern Illinois. Bell previously served as associate director of institutional advancement for SIU from 2001-07 and has been at WIU since 2013.

Presbyterian: Per source, intern Eric Miller has been promoted to a full-time position and will coach wide receivers. Miller joined the Presbyterian staff last August after three seasons as an assistant at Tucker High School (GA), where he worked with receivers, defensive backs and special teams.

Cal: Sonny Dykes tells the AP that special teams quality control / assistant inside receivers coach Burl Toler III has been activated to recruit off-campus as Dykes looks for a new wide receivers coach. Dykes added that he’s not yet sure if the new hire will have the open recruiting coordinator title. Keep track of open FBS assistant jobs here.

UNLV: The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports former head coach Bobby Hauck was paid $400,000 for his buyout and paid $2,515.39 in gross pay for Dec. 1, 2014, which was the final day of his contract following his resignation. Hauck has indicated he wants to be paid for the full month of December.

Grambling State: Director of kinesiology, sport and leisure studies Obadiah Simmons has been named interim athletic director. Simmons has been in his current role at the school since 2008. His interim AD term is from May 1 to June 30. A new president is expected to be hired by then and will hire a new permanent athletic director.

UAB: Temple senior associate athletics director Mark Ingram has been named athletic director at UAB. Ingram had been at Temple since 2012. Other stops in his career include Tennessee, Georgia and Missouri.

Kansas State: Athletic director John Currie has signed a restructured contract through the June 30, 2020. The deal adds one year to Currie’s current contract and increases his base salary while reducing the incentives, including getting rid of all athletic-related bonuses. His annual salary increases to $775,000.

California (PA): Per source, safeties coach Tom Rebholz’s contract will not be renewed for the upcoming year due to university budget cuts. Rebholz has spent the past five seasons at California (PA), including four as safeties coach.

Wofford (SC): North Greenville University (SC) defensive backs coach Brian Mance has joined the Wofford staff as cornerbacks coach, and former Brevard College (NC) fullbacks coach Dane Romero has joined the staff as running backs coach. Mance spent the past thre seasons at North Greenville, and Romero has recently worked in the private sector. Romero is a former Wofford running back and was inducted in the school’s athletics Hall of Fame last fall.
