New York Jets: Bears national scout Rex Hogan will join the Jets as director of college scouting, according to NFL Network’s Albert Breer, who also reports Rams scout Brian Heimerdinger will join in a front office role. 

Houston Texans: Former Bears defensive line coach Paul Pasqualoni will join the Texans in the same role, according to the Houston Chronicle. 

Alabama: Defensive analyst Tosh Lupoi is expected to be promoted to outside linebackers coach, according to Sports Illustrated’s Thayer Evans. Keep track of open FBS assistant jobs here.  

Chicago Bears: Former Broncos offensive quality control coach Bo Hardegree has joined the Bears as an offensive assistant. 

UNC-Pembroke: Per source, South Dakota outside linebackers coach Joe Ford will join the UNC-Pembroke staff as co-defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach. In addition, the school has announced that wide receivers coach Billy Lindquist has added the duties of recruiting coordinator. 

Alabama: Offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Lane Kiffin will return next season, the school announced. Kiffin reportedly was a front-runner for the 49ers offensive coordinator job. Kiffin was a Broyles Award finalist last season. In a release, Nick Saban said, “He’s done a fabulous job and is one of the finest offensive coaches in the country. He is going to have plenty of opportunities in the future, and we want to continue to help him develop as a coach, so when he leaves here, he’ll be in a very good situation. Our offense was extremely productive last season, and we look forward to building on some of the good things we did on that side of the ball with this year’s team.”

Atlanta Falcons: Redskins defensive backs coach Raheem Morris is expected to join the Falcons staff, according to the Washington Post. 

New York Jets: The Jets have hired former Buffalo Bills defensive line coach Pepper Johnson for the same position.

Syracuse: Air Force tight ends coach Jake Moreland will join the Syracuse staff in the same role, and tight ends coach Bobby Acosta will move to wide receivers coach, according to This fills the lone opening on the staff. Keep track of open FBS assistant jobs here.

Cal: Graduate assistant Jacob Peeler has been promoted to inside receivers coach. In addition, offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Tony Franklin has added running backs duties, and running backs coach / run game coordinator Pierre Ingram moves to wide receivers coach / pass game coordinator. Linebackers coach Garret Chachere adds the title of associate head coach, and special teams coordinator Mark Tommerdahl adds the title of assistant head coach. This fills the last opening on Sonny Dykes’ staff. 

Chicago Bears: Former Browns quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains and former Falcons linebackers coach Glenn Pires have joined the Bears in the same roles.

Colorado State-Pueblo: Former McKendree University running backs coach / special teams coordinator Samuel Sewell has joined the CSU-Pueblo staff as running backs coach, according to his Twitter account. 

Houston: Tom Herman has officially named Ohio State football operations coordinator Fernando Lovo as Houston director of operations, as CoachingSearch first reported. In addition, Ohio State graduate assistant Adrian Mayes has been named director of recruiting, associate director of football operations Marcus McGraw has moved to director of player personnel, and director of operations Tory Teykl has moved to director of internal operations.

Utah State: Offensive line coach Mark Weber has added the title of associate head coach.

Florida International: Former Pitt defensive coordinator Matt House has been named to the same position at FIU. 

Virginia: Running backs coach Chris Beatty and offensive line coach Dave Borbely will each earn $220,000 in base salary and $30,000 in supplemental compensation, according to the Daily Press. 

LSU: Defensive line coach Ed Orgeron’s contract is a two-year deal worth $450,000 annually, according to the Baton Rouge Advocate. His deal also includes a clause that, if Les Miles were no longer the head coach, Orgeron would be paid for just the next six months. In addition, running backs coach / recruiting coordinator / associate head coach Frank Wilson will receive a pay increase to $660,000 as part of a three-year extension through 2017, and tight ends coach Steve Ensminger ($300,000), defensive backs coach Corey Raymond ($310,000) and wide recievers coach Adam Henry ($375,000) also have deals through 2017.

New York Jets: The Jets have announced the hiring of several assistants, including Dolphins defensive line coach Kacy Rodgers as defensive coordinator and Raiders special teams coordinator Bobby April Jr. to the same position. Other assistants include Karl Dorrell (wide receivers), Robby Brown (offensive quality control), Mike Caldwell (inside linebackers / assistant head coach), Mark Collins (outside linebackers), Joe Danna (defensive backs / safeties), Justus Galac (head strength and conditioning coach), Kavan Latham (assistant strength and conditioning coach) and Aaron McLaurin (assistant strength and conditioning coach).

Oakland Raiders: Sal Sunseri’s title with the Raiders is linebackers coach. 

Michigan: Jim Harbaugh’s contract has a base salary of $500,000 with $4.5 million in additional compensation for seven years, according to, with a 10 percent raise after the third and fifth years. In addition, Harbaugh must give U-M 48 hours notice before discussing other jobs, and if he terminates the contract, he owes U-M a portion of his $2 million signing bonus. Within 30 days of the final game of the 2015 season, the school will consider a deferred compensation bump. The assistant salary pool is between $4-5 million, not including strength and conditioning coaches.

Morehead State: East Carter HS (KY) head coach Zack Moore has joined the Morehead State staff as linebackers coach. Moore is a former Morehead player and assistant.

Phoenix College: The junior college has announced the hiring of former Washington assistant Dan Cozzetto as head coach. Cozzetto was most recently the run game coordinator for the FXFL's Boston Brawlers last summer.

Garden City Community College: Former Southwestern College assistant Logan Wyrick has joined the Garden City staff as tight ends coach. 

Texas State: Per source, Texas State has made some support staff adjustments. Offensive graduate assistant Carter English moves to recruiting coordinator, recruiting coordinator Reuben Vaughn moves to player development coordinator, and Pittsburg State graduate assistant Luke Miller has joined as a graduate assistant.

Tulsa: Stephenville HS (TX) head coach Joe Gillespie will join the Tulsa staff, according to Matt Stepp of Update: Tulsa has announced Gillespie as linebackers coach. Keep track of new FBS staffs here.

Indianapolis Colts: Special assistant to the head coach Rob Chudzinski’s contract expires on Monday, and he is expected to interview for the Rams and 49ers offensive coordinator jobs, according to Fox Sports’ Alex Marvez. The Colts have blocked interview requests while he’s under contract.

Denver Broncos: Houston Texans defensive line coach Bill Kollar will join the Broncos staff, according to the Houston Chronicle. 

Chicago Bears: The Bears have hired Saints assistant offensive line coach Frank Smith as tight ends coach. 

Florida State: Former Florida defensive line coach Brad Lawing will join the FSU staff as defensive ends coach, according to Keep track of open FBS assistant jobs here.

Oakland Raiders: Florida State defensive ends coach Sal Sunseri will join the Raiders staff, according to 247Sports. In addition, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports the Raiders will hire former Bills quarterbacks coach Todd Downing for the same role.

Philadelphia Eagles: Boston College offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Ryan Day is expected to join the Eagles as quarterbacks coach, according to ESPN’s Adam Caplan. Day played under and worked with Chip Kelly at New Hampshire. Update: The Eagles have announced the hire.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Tennessee offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Mike Bajakian has joined the Bucs as quarterbacks coach, the team announced. Sports Illustrated first reported the news. 

San Francisco 49ers: Tight ends coach Eric Mangini will remain with the team as defensive coordinator, and his contract is a three-year deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. 

Virginia Tech: Per source, Old Dominion wide receivers coach / passing game coordinator Zohn Burden will interview for the Virginia Tech wide receivers job on Friday. 

Tulane: New Orleans Saints offensive assistant Carter Sheridan will join the Tulane staff as wide receivers coach, according to the New Orleans Advocate. 

Missouri: Butler CC (KS) offensive line coach Cody Oates has joined Missouri’s staff as an offensive analyst, first reported by 

San Francisco 49ers: Former Raiders interim head coach Tony Sparano will join the 49ers as tight ends coach, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. 

B.C. Lions: Jeff Tedford has completed his staff: George Cortez (offensive coordinator / quarterbacks), Mark Washington (defensive coordinator), Chuck McMann (running backs / special teams coordinator), Khari Jones (wide receivers), Doug Malone (offensive line), Robin Ross (defensive line), Johnny Holland (linebackers), Quinn Tedford (offensive quality control) and Willie Fields (defensive quality control / assistant defensive backs). 

Arkansas: Offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Dan Enos will make $550,000 annually with a deal through June 30, 2018, according to the Arkansas News. He also cannot leave for another SEC assistant job, as all of Bielema’s new assistants have in their deals. Enos earned $360,000 in 2014 as Central Michigan head coach.

Ohio State: The Buckeye staff received nearly $2 million in postseason bonuses, according to The nine assistants and strength coach Mickey Mariotti received a bonus of three-months salary for reaching the national title game (nothing more for winning it) and 1.5-months salary for winning the Big Ten. Urban Meyer received $250,000 for reaching the national title game and $150,000 for winning the Big Ten. has the full numbers. 

Youngstown State: Former Nebraska running backs coach Ron Brown has joined the YSU staff as running backs / associate head coach, and offensive coordinator Shane Montgomery has been retained. 

Tennessee: Offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Mike Bajakian is leaving the staff to pursue other coaching opportunities, according to Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman. Despite reports Bajakian will be the quarterbacks coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, ESPN reports no deal is done, and Bajakian is also interested in the Central Michigan head coaching job. St. Louis Rams: Former Bills offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett will interview for the same job with the Rams on Thursday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The Bucs have added former Falcons offensive assistant Andrew Weidinger as an offensive quality control coach, according to the Tampa Bay Times, which adds that current offensive quality control coach Ben Steele will remain on staff.

Jacksonville Jaguars: ESPN notes that former offensive line coach George Yarno, who is battling cancer and hasn't been with the team since last spring, is still under contract, and the Jags are still providing salary and medical benefits for him.

Arkansas: Here’s a look at what Dan Enos brings to Arkansas as offensive coordinator.

Central Michigan: The school has confirmed Dan Enos’ resignation, but did not name an interim head coach in a release. Athletic director Dave Heeke says the school will move “quickly and decisively in naming a new coach.” If CMU makes an outside hire, former Michigan head coach Brady Hoke and Ferris State head coach Tony Annese could be names to keep an eye on, along with Tennessee offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian and Tennessee wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni, who have previously coached at the school.

Arkansas: Central Michigan head coach Dan Enos has been named offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Arkansas. Enos posted a 26-36 record at CMU in five seasons. He has never been a coordinator at the FBS level, but called plays at CMU. 

North Carolina:’s UNC site reports former Nebraska defensive coordinator John Papuchis will join the UNC staff.

Utah State:’s Utah State site reports USU will hire former Oklahoma co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Josh Heupel as offensive coordinator. 

Illinois State: Head coach Brock Spack has received an extension through the 2021 season and a raise to $300,000 annually, up from $268,000, according to The Pantagraph.

Florida: Per source, Mississippi State defensive graduate assistant Justin Hinds will join the Florida staff.

Washington Redskins: Outside linebackers coach Brian Baker will not return, Baker told ESPN980.

Oakland Raiders: Assistant defensive backs coach Marcus Robertson has been retained as defensive backs coach, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Missouri: Former Helias HS (MO) head coach and former Missouri defensive lineman Phil Pitts has joined the staff as a defensive analyst. 

Buffalo Bills: Former Jets running backs / assistant head coach Anthony Lynn has joined the Bills staff in the same role, according to multiple reports.

Chicago Bears: Adam Gase has accepted the offensive coordinator position. In addition, 49ers assistant Ed Donatell has accepted the defensive backs job.

Penn: Wagner defensive coordinator Malik Hall has been named defensive line coach at Penn.

San Francisco 49ers: Raiders defensive coordinator Jason Tarver will join the 49ers as linebackers coach, according to multiple reports. Per source, don’t be surprised if the 49ers request to interview Packers offensive coordinator Tom Clements for the same position. In addition, the Sacramento Bee reports the 49ers are interested in former Raiders interim head coach Tony Sparano for the tight ends job.

Delaware State: Former Youngstown State wide receivers coach / pass game / co-special teams coordinator Kenny Carter has been named head coach at Delaware State. Other stops in his career include Louisville, Florida, Vanderbilt, Penn State, LSU and more.

McNeese State: Per source, Texas offensive graduate assistant Eman Naghavi has joined the McNeese State staff as offensive line coach. Naghavi is a former McNeese player and previously served on the staff from 2011-12.

Georgia: Mark Richt’s contract has been extended two years through 2019 and his salary raised to $4 million annually — up from $3.2 million, according to the Macon Telegraph.

Missouri: Former Missouri linebacker Denzel Martin is now a recruiting graduate assistant at Missouri, according to his Twitter account.

Troy: Here’s a look at Neal Brown’s completed staff. In addition, Troy announced the hiring of Foley HS (AL) head coach Todd Watson as director of operations / high school relations and Kentucky assistant strength and conditioning coach Rafael Horton as head strength coach, and director of football operations Jamaal Smith is now director of player development.

Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens have hired former Jets offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg as quarterbacks coach.

Oregon State: Offensive coordinator Dave Baldwin says, “You should never leave Gary Andersen."

Mississippi State: MSU is seeking one offensive and one defensive graduate assistant. Previous college coaching experience is highly preferred. 

VMI: Lafayette defensive line coach Mike Saint Germain has joined the VMI staff, according to his Twitter account. Saint German has previously worked with VMI head coach Scott Wachenheim at Virginia. 

Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jaguars have hired former Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Olson to the same position. 

Bowdoin College (ME): Per source, Endicott College (MA) head coach JB Wells has accepted the same position at Bowdoin. 

Indianapolis Colts: The Colts are blocking interview requests for special assistant to the head coach Rob Chudzinski, intending to keep him, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. 

Cleveland Browns: The Browns will hire former Raiders quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo as offensive coordinator, according to Fox Sports’ Alex Marvez.

Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens are considering former Jets offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg for their quarterbacks job, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals will not let defensive backs coach Vance Joseph out of his contract to pursue the Broncos defensive coordinator job, according to multiple reports. 

LSU: Athletic director Joe Alleva tells 104.5 ESPN Baton Rouge that, if Brick Haley remains with the program, the department will come up with a new title for him. Les Miles described Haley’s role as an “intern” last week.

San Francisco 49ers: Per source, former Jets and LSU special teams coordinator Thomas McGaughey is expected to join the 49ers in the same role.

Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals are working to hire former Steelers defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau as linebackers coach, according to Fox Sports’ Alex Marvez.

In addition, East Hamilton HS (TN) coach Tony Brown has joined as defensive line assistant, and Morehead State defensive backs coach / special teams coordinator Rod West has joined to coach cornerbacks and dimebacks.

Chicago Bears: The team has announced the hiring of former Broncos assistant defensive backs coach Sam Garnes, offensive line coach Dave Magazu and assistant special teams coach Derius Swinton for the same roles. In addition, defensive coordinator Mel Tucker, tight ends coach Andy Bischoff, linebackers coach Reggie Herring and assistant special teams coach Dwayne Stukes will not return.

Alabama: Regarding a report Lane Kiffin is a front-runner for the 49ers offensive coordinator job, Nick Saban said Tuesday, per WIAT, “All of our coaches at this time of year have opportunities. I think guys work hard so that they can get opportunities, and if there are better opportunities that serve them better professionally, we’re very supportive in our guys getting promotions and doing those types of things. … I know Lane is committed to us right now and he’s doing the best he can to help us recruit and do the things that we need to do to have a better team next year. We’re hopeful that that will continue.

Cleveland Browns: The Browns are expected to interview former Jets offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg at the Senior Bowl, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
