Alabama: Defensive line coach Bo Davis is expected to leave his position, according to The Tuscaloosa News, which reports an inquiry into possible recruiting violations. The site also reports Alabama has been conducting an internal investigation and the NCAA has made inquiries. Davis has been at Alabama since 2014 and was also at UA from 2007-10. Idaho: The school confirms it will move to FCS for the 2018 season and play in the Big Sky conference. School officials say they have a plan to meet the requirement of 63 scholarships. Read more here.
West Virginia: Former West Virginia defensive line coach Damon Cogdell has been named defensive coordinator at Carol City High School (FL). Cogdell spent the past two seasons at WVU after coaching at Miramar High School (FL) from 2002-13, including seven years as head coach.

Jacksonville University: Athletic director Donnie Horner will step down at the end of the month, but remain a professor at the school. Senior associate director of administration Alex Ricker-Gilbert will be promoted to AD. Horner spent two years as AD. Ricker-Gilbert is 28 years old, making him one of the youngest AD’s in the country, and perhaps the youngest.
NFL: Pro Football Talk reports that VP of football operatons Mike Kensil has moved to VP game operations-international. Kensil has been with the NFL since 2006, after 28 years with the New York Jets.
Greensboro College (NC): Offensive coordinator / former interim head coach Erik Westberg has been named head coach at Northern Guilford High School (NC). Westberg had been at Greensboro since 2011.
Tiffin (OH): Ashland University (OH) wide receivers coach Joe Horn has joined the Tiffin staff as wide receivers coach / director of football operations. Horn spent the past two years at Ashland.
