Chicago Bears: Former Denver Broncos director of player engagement Jerry Butler has joined the Bears as player development director, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. 

Spring football: Here are the spring practice start dates and game dates for every FBS team.

Northwestern: Offensive quality control assistant David Girardi is now a defensive graduate assistant, according to his Twitter account. 

San Diego Mesa College: Citrus College (CA) offensive coordinator Peter Lofthouse has been named head coach at Mesa.

Oregon: Northwestern graduate assistant Kwame Agyeman has joined the Oregon staff as a graduate assistant working with linebackers, according to his Twitter account. Agyeman is a former Oregon player.

Arkansas: Bret Bielema says his interview process with a coach includes assistants, secretaries, the director of football operations, the recruiting staff and more.

Tufts University (MA): Colorado State interim athletic director John Morris will be named athletic director at Tufts, according to The Coloradoan. 

Wofford (SC): Per source, former Adams State passing game coordinator / wide receivers coach Steve Neal has accepted the on-campus recruiting coordinator position at Wofford.

Detroit Lions: Senior personnel adviser James Harris has retired. 

Washington Redskins: Former Tennessee Titans quarterbacks coach coach Dave Ragone has joined the Redskins as an offensive quality control coach.

South Florida: Former Michigan State offensive lineman Blake Treadwell has joined the USF staff as an offensive graduate assistant. Treadwell coached at East Lansing High School (MI) last season. In addition, UTSA defensive graduate assistant Benny Morrison has joined the USF staff in the same role.

UCLA: Former South Florida defensive graduate assistant Tommy Donatell has joined the UCLA staff in the same role.

Chowan University (NC): Former South Florida graduate assistant Kurt von Bargen has joined the Chowan staff as linebackers coach. 

Mississippi State: Head coach Dan Mullen has signed an extension through 2018. He will earn $4 million in 2015 and average $4.275 million over the next four years.

Oklahoma State: Mike Gundy has announced five staff additions. Former Buffalo Bills tight ends coach Greg Adkins, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterbacks coach Marcus Arroyo and Montana State offensive line coach Jason McEndoo have joined as assistants, but the school did not announce titles. This fills the open spots on the staff. In addition, former OK State defensive coordinator Bill Clay and former Texas co-offensive coordinator / wide receivers coach Darrell Wyatt have joined the staff as analysts. Georgia Southern: Head coach Willie Fritz has received a raise of $100,000 to $500,000 annually. 

LSU: Per source, South Alabama graduate assistant Chevis Jackson will join the LSU staff as an analyst. Jackson is a former LSU cornerback. 

Michigan: Offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Tim Drevno will call plays, he told reporters Thursday night. 

Erie Community College (NY): Former Buffalo assistant Scott Pilkey has been named head coach at ECC.

UC Davis: The school has officially announced the addition of Indiana University (PA) running backs coach Jim Chapin (running backs), Winona State co-defensive coordinator / linebackers coach David Braun (defensive line) and Minnesota-Crookston running backs / tight ends coach Wes Nurse (cornerbacks). 

Detroit Lions: Former Penn State graduate assistant Steve Williams has joined the Lions staff as a defensive quality control coach. 

TCU: Gary Patterson told reporters he never considered an outside hire to replace retiring defensive coordinator Dick Bumpas, and Patterson sensed in the middle of last season that Bumpas would be retiring. Patterson promoted safeties coach Chad Glasgow and linebackers coach DeMontie Cross to co-coordinators earlier this week. 

Penn State: North Greenville University (SC) offensive line coach Tommy Galt has joined the Penn State staff as a graduate assistant, according to 247Spots. Galt is the son of PSU head strength coach Dwight Galt and twin brother of PSU assistant strength coach Dwight Galt IV. The job opened when former graduate assistant Steve Williams accepted a position with the Detroit Lions. 

Appalachian State: CollegeAD.org reports Missouri deputy athletic director Doug Gillen will be named athletic director at Appalachian State. 

Alabama: Director of player development Chris Samuels is the new head coach at Osbourn HS (VA).

Stephen F. Austin: Per source, offensive line coach / run game coordinator Bill Best interviewed for the Edmonton Eskimos offensive line job, but has decided to stay at SFA.

Lamar: Lincoln University (PA) head coach Ramon Flanigan has joined the Lamar staff as quarterbacks coach. 

Notre Dame: Former Notre Dame quarterback and quarterbacks coach Ron Powlus will rejoin the Irish as director of player development, according to 247Sports.

Georgia: Marshall director of high school football relations Aaron Hill has joined the Georgia staff. 

Alabama: South Alabama defensive ends / outside linebackers coach Freddie Roach will join the Alabama staff in a player development role, according to 247Sports. Roach is a former Alabama player and served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach from 2008-10. Keep track of open FBS assistant jobs here.

Wisconsin: The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has acquired the salary information for Paul Chryst’s staff: Offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Joe Rudolph ($575,000), defensive coordinator / inside linebackers coach Dave Aranda ($520,000), wide receivers coach Ted Gilmore ($265,000), special teams coordinator Chris Haering ($250,000), outside linebackers coach Tim Tibesar ($250,000), defensive line coach Inoke Breckterfield ($215,000), defensive backs coach Daronte’ Jones ($215,000) and tight ends coach Mickey Turner ($125,000). Rudolph and Aranda have two-year deals, while the other assistants have one-year deals. The running backs job is still open.

Hawaii: Defensive intern Lance Samuseva has been promoted to defensive line coach, according to Sports Illustrated’s Thayer Evans. This fills the last opening on the staff. 

Texas: Former Texas tight ends coach Bruce Chambers has been hired as an assistant athletic director by the Arlington school district, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jags are expected to hire former Jets general manager John Idzik as a consultant, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Arkansas: A look at the finalized Arkansas staff for 2015, along with the staff turnover in three years.

TCU: Safeties coach Chad Glasgow and linebackers coach DeMontie Cross have been promoted to co-defensive coordinators. In addition, director of player personnel for special teams Dan Sharp has been promoted to defensive line coach, and graduate assistant Paul Gonzales has been promoted to cornerbacks coach. This fills the openings on the staff. 

Arkansas: Running backs coach / special teams coordinator Jemal Singleton will earn $310,000 in a one-year deal, according to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, which adds that the contract includes an SEC no-compete clause, and Singleton would owe the school $100,000 if he left for a non-head coach or coordinator position. Singleton earned $280,000 at Oklahoma State.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Former Jacksonville Jaguars assistant defensive line coach Paul Spicer has joined the Bucs staff in the same role.

Old Dominion: Graduate assistant Arick Forrest has been promote to wide receivers coach, filling the lone opening on the staff. 

Arkansas: Oklahoma State running backs coach Jemal Singleton has joined the Arkansas staff as running backs coach / special teams coordinator, the school announced. 

Ohio Dominican: Per source, quarterbacks coach / recruiting coordinator Zac Bruney has been promoted to offensive coordinator, and former Columbus South HS (OH) head coach Keith Dimmy has joined the staff as an offensive assistant. 

Mt. San Antonio College (CA): Per source, Baldwin Park HS (CA) head coach Daniel Al-Gattas will re-join the Mt. San Antonio staff as an assistant.  

Stanford: How close was David Shaw to losing full-time assistants this winter?

Arkansas: Bob Barry of KFOR in Oklahoma City reports Oklahoma State running backs coach Jemal Singleton is expected to take the same job at Arkansas, which includes a pay raise. Singleton reportedly interviewed Tuesday. 

New Mexico State: Valdosta State offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Andy Richman has joined the NMSU staff as offensive line coach. 

LSU: Per source, Alabama player personnel assistant Cooper Petagna will join the LSU staff in the same role.

LSU: Per source, former Louisiana-Lafayette quarterback Blaine Gautier will join the LSU staff in a quality control role. Gautier spent last season as a coach at St. James HS (LA).

Alabama State: Head coach Brian Jenkins will earn a base salary of $175,000 next season, along with potential bonuses up to $125,000 throughout the three-year deal, according to AL.com.

LSU: Per source, Cincinnati graduate assistant Ryan Pugh will join the LSU staff as a graduate assistant. 

Simon Fraser University (Canada): Former BC Lions running backs coach Kelly Bates will be named head coach at Simon Fraser, according to TSN’s Farhan Lalji, who adds that Bates' contract will be a three-year deal.

Arkansas: ESPN Radio's Bo Mattingly reports Oklahoma State running backs coach Jemal Singleton is interviewing for the same job at Arkansas today. Keep track of open FBS assistant jobs here.

UCLA: The school has officially announced the hiring of West Virginia senior associate head coach Tom Bradley has defensive coordinator. In addition, defensive backs coach / passing game coordinator / assistant head coach Demetrice Martin has been promoted to assistant head coach, defense / secondary; outside linebackers coach / special teams coordinator Mike Tuiasosopo was not retained; and graduate assistant Scott White has been promoted to linebackers coach / special teams coordinator. 

Columbia: Al Bagnoli explains why he took the Columbia job, three months after retiring from coaching at Penn. In addition, The Daily Pennsylvania reports Bagnoli has hired former Penn offensive coordinator and current Dayton offensive line coach Jon McLaughlin as offensive line coach.

Wisconsin-Whitewater: Per source, Wisconsin-Platteville defensive coordinator / inside linebackers Rob Erickson has been offered the defensive coordinator job at Wisconsin-Whitewater. 

Southeastern Louisiana: Former St. Louis Rams defensive coordinator Blake Williams has accepted the same position at Southeastern Louisiana. Williams most recently has been a defensive consultant at William Jewell College. 

UMass: Villanova running backs coach Darrius Smith will join the UMass staff in the same role, according to Sports Illustrated’s Thayer Evans. 

Miami (FL): Josh Darrow has joined the Miami staff as assistant director of football operations, according to multiple reports. Darrow has been the operator of SFHSSPORTS.com, a site dedicated to high school sports in south Florida. 

Same staffs: Fewer than 30 schools are bringing back their full staff in 2015.

Northern Arizona: Arizona State graduate assistant Aaron Pflugrad will join the Northern Arizona staff as wide receivers coach, according to The Arizona Republic. 

Nebraska: Mike Riley has officially announced the hiring of former Maryland defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach Brian Stewart as defensive backs coach. In addition, East Texas Baptist defensive backs coach Jon Clark has joined the staff as a defensive graduate assistant. 

Colorado State-Pueblo: The school has announced the addition of former Houston offensive line coach Gordon Shaw (offensive line / run game coordinator), former Michigan wide receivers coach Jeff Hecklinski (passing game coordinator) and former McKendree running backs coach / special teams coordinator Sam Sewell (running backs). The remaining open job on staff is for tight ends.

Central Michigan: Per source, former Tennessee Titans assistant strength and conditioning coach Jason Novak will join the Central Michigan staff as head strength coach. In addition, retained assistant coaches include offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Morris Watts, running backs coach / recruiting coordinator Gino Guidugli, wide receivers coach / assistant head coach Mose Rison, tight ends coach Sherrone Moore, defensive line coach George Ricumstrict and defensive backs coach Archie Collins, who will move to cornerbacks. Miami (FL): CanesInSight.com reports assistant directors of player personnel Jorge Baez and Eric Josephs will receive raises, following the departure of director player personnel Matt Doherty, and another hire will be made in the personnel department. 

Columbia: Per source, former Yale defensive coordinator Rick Flanders will join Al Bagnoli’s staff at Columbia as defensive coordinator. Flanders recently resigned at Yale. In addition, the Daily Pennsylvanian reports Union College head coach John Audino is expected to join the Columbia staff, though Union released a statement Monday afternoon that Audino is still the school’s head coach.

Virginia Tech: Hillsborough HS (FL) offensive coordinator Max Warner has joined the Virginia Tech staff as offensive quality control coordinator, according to 247Sports.

Colorado State: South Florida recruiting operations coordinator Leah Knight has joined the Colorado State staff as assistant director of football operations, according to her Twitter account. 

Iowa State: Assistant strength and conditioning coach Clayton Oyster has been promoted to director of strength and conditioning. 

Wisconsin-La Crosse: The school has named three finalists for its athletic director job: UW-La Cross interim AD Kim Blum, Northwestern Ohio assistant professor Rick Goeb and Wisconsin-Milwaukee senior associate athletic director Charlie Gross.

Arizona Cardinals: Head coach Bruce Arians and general manager Steve Keim have each signed new four-year contracts through the 2018 season, with a team option for a fifth year. 

South Florida: Former Manatee HS (FL) head coach Joe Kinnan will officially serve as a volunteer offensive consultant at USF. Taggart played under Kinnan in high school. There had been reports since December that Kinnan could join the staff. In addition, Taggart says he likely won't hire a running backs coach until after spring ball.

Mississippi State: Southern Miss recruiting assistant Kevin Roberts has joined the Mississippi State staff, according to his Twitter account. 

UCF: Tight ends / H-backs coach Keegan Kennedy has added special teams coordinator duties. 

Kentucky: Outside linebackers coach Andy Buh will earn $200,000 in 2015 in a one-year deal, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal. 

Texas: Louisville offensive graduate assistant Will Stein will join the Texas staff as a graduate assistant. 

New York Giants: Tom Coughlin tells NFL Network “something will come out shortly” regarding a contract extension. Coughlin is heading into the final season of his current contract.

Virginia Union: Former Southern defensive backs coach Otis Flowers has joined the Virginia Union staff in the same role, and North Fort Meyers HS (FL) defensive coordinator Mike Spencer has joined as co-defensive coordinator / linebackers coach.
