The Skip Holtz era is over at South Florida.

Holtz was dismissed on Sunday after three season of leading the program.  Under his leadership, the Bulls compiled records of 8-5, 5-7, and 3-9.

South Florida went 2-12 against Big East opponents in the last two seasons.

You could see South Florida target Western Kentucky head coach Willie Taggart.  San Diego Chargers special teams coordinator / assistant head coach Rich Bisaccia and University of Arizona co-offensive coordinator / running backs / associate head coach Calvin MaGee could enter the mix.

If South Florida wants to hire a proven, long-term successful head coach, athletic director Doug Woolard could make a run at Texas Tech head coach Tommy Tuberville.

ESPN's Brett McMurphy first reported in dismissal of Holtz, who will be paid $2.5 million over five years.
