Posted by: Josh Kendall on November 29, 2012 Al Golden's name has been connected to several of this year's job openings, but his boss, at least his boss for now, doesn't think Miami's head coach is going anywhere. "I'm confident he'll be with us next year," interim Miami athletics director Blake James told the Sun Sentinel newspaper on Wednesday night. Golden led the Hurricanes to a 7-5 record in his second season, but Miami will not go to a bowl game due to a self-imposed postseason ban. "To be perfectly honest with you, the only time I hear it is when (reporters) say it," Golden told the Sun Sentinel this week of the job talk. "I know (my wife) would cry if I said we were moving out of town. I hope, that if (rumors exist), I hope it's for how we're operating in a very tumultuous time and how we're being steadfast with our plan and not flinching. I hope people respect that." Golden's contract runs through the 2019 season. He received an extension following the 2011 season. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recent Articles on CoachingSearch.com
