Ohio State: Urban Meyer says defensive coordinator Greg Schiano turned down two “significant” head coaching jobs this offseason.

Carolina Panthers: Director of player personnel Mark Koncz has been dismissed, according to the Charlotte Observer. Koncz had been the team’s pro scouting director since 2000 and was promoted in May.

Denver Broncos: General manager John Elway has agreed to a new 5-year contract through 2021, according to Adam Schefter.

Ole Miss: Matt Luke says he will hire a new offensive line coach, as he focuses on head coaching duties, and he hopes to have it by the end of the week.

Western Michigan: Former Syracuse center Jason Emerich has joined the WMU staff as an offensive quality control assistant. Emerich played at Syracuse from 2012-16, including under current WMU head coach Tim Lester.

East Tennessee State: Former Northwestern State defensive coordinator Darryl Daye has joined the ETSU staff as defensive line coach. Daye spent the last two years at NSU and had decided to step away from football in December.

William & Mary: Central Connecticut State outside linebackers coach Holman Copeland has joined the W&M staff as an assistant. Copeland had been at CCSU since 2014.

Ole Miss: New defensive coordinator Wes McGriff has added the title of associate head coach. McGriff joined the staff this offseason.

UL-Monroe: Head coach Matt Viator will not attend Sun Belt Media Day, due to a family matter. Defensive coordinator Mike Collins will take Viator’s place in New Orleans.

Husson (ME): Skowhegan High School (ME) head coach Matt Friedman has joined the Husson staff as wide receivers coach. Friedman was the Skowhegan head coach for five years.

Michigan: Arizona director of on-campus recruiting and player personnel Matt Dudek will join the Michigan staff as director of recruiting, according to multiple reports. Dudek spent five years at Arizona and previously worked at Rutgers and Pitt.

Texas A&M-Commerce: Per source, defensive backs coach Darren Garrigan has accepted a Bill Walsh Minority Fellowship position with the Kansas City Chiefs. Garrigan has been at A&M Commerce since 2014. He participated in the fellowship program last summer with the Detroit Lions.

Lamar (TX): Former defensive coordinator Craig McGallion has rejoined Lamar as director of football operations. McGallion worked at the school from 2010-15, before retiring.

Quincy (IL): MacMuray College running backs coach Ben Clark has joined Quincy as tight ends coach, and East Ridge High School (FL) linebackers coach Phil Schron III has joined Quincy as a defensive graduate assistant. Clark spent one year at MacMurray, and Schron spent one year at East Ridge.

Michigan: Former 49ers senior personnel executive Tom Gamble will join the Michigan staff, according to The Athletic. Gamble worked with the 49ers for 10 years, including when Harbaugh was the head coach. 

Occidental (CA): Head coach Doug Semones has retired after four years leading the program. Semones posted three winning seasons in the final three years. Other stops in his career included Yale, Hawaii and the high school ranks. A search for an interim head coach is underway.

Los Angeles Rams: Former Lions senior personnel executive Brian Xanders will join the Rams front office, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Xanders spent four years with the Lions and the previous five with the Broncos.

Northeastern Oklahoma A&M: Trinity Valley CC (TX) linebackers coach / special teams coordinator Blake Bryan has joined the NEO staff as special teams coordinator. Bryan spent six years at Trinity Valley.

Quincy (IL): Defensive coordinator Khanis Hubbard has moved to offensive coordinator / offensive line coach, and linebackers coach Sean Kelly has been promoted to defensive coordinator. The moves come under interim head coach Gary Bass, who was promoted from offensive coordinator in May. Hubbard is entering his fifth year on staff, and Kelly is entering his seventh.

Ole Miss: Head coach Hugh Freeze has resigned. Offensive line coach Matt Luke will take over as interim head coach. Freeze went 39-25 in six seasons, but is a subject of investigation into alleged recruiting violations. Yahoo Sports reports a look through Freeze's phone records as part of Houston Nutt's lawsuit against the school uncovered a call to an escort service that could have been a wrong number, but also found "additional troubling information." AD Ross Bjork says there will be no buyout paid to Freeze. Read more here.

Fordham: Former Denver Broncos scouting assistant Evan Ostrow has been named assistant athletic director for football operations at Fordham. Ostrow worked with the Broncos from 2016-17 and was previously an assistant recruiting coordinator at Penn State.

Mansfield (PA): Per source, former Northwood (MI) student assistant Richard Conrad has joined the Mansfield staff as offensive line coach. Conrad spent four years at Northwood, working with the offensive line.

Iowa: Former NFL special teams coordinator Kevin Spencer has joined the Iowa staff as a special teams quality control assistant. Spencer worked with Kirk Ferentz with the Cleveland Browns in the early 1990s and the 63-year-old has also coached for the Raiders, Colts, Steelers, Cardinals and Chargers.

Minnesota State: Former South Dakota defensive line coach Collin Prosser has joined the MSU staff as offensive line coach. Prosser spent the last two years at South Dakota and previously coached at Morningside College.

Les Miles: The former LSU head coach tells WAFB that he will be doing “network television” this fall, for more than one network.

Bemidji State (MN): Interim head coach Brent Bolte has been named full-time head coach. Bolte has spent 17 years on the staff and led the team to a 9-3 record as interim head coach in 2016.

Idaho State: Oregon State graduate assistant Kam Yancy has joined the ISU staff as defensive backs coach. Yancy spent two years at Oregon State and was previously a quality control assistant at Utah. In addition, equipment manager Tyson Munns has been promoted to director of football operations.

Illinois-Chicago: George Washington senior associate athletic director for external relations Garrett Klassy has been named athletic director at UIC. Klassy spent four years at GWU.
