Jacksonville Jaguars: ProFootballTalk.com is reporting that Andy Dengler will become the assitant director of player personnel, while Kansas City Chiefs scout Kyle O'Brien will be named director of college scouting. Colts' scout Mark Ellenz will join the staff as eastern regional scout and Vikings' staffer Paul Roell will join the staff as the assistant director of college scouting.

Lehigh University: Emmaus HS head coach Joe Bottilieri has joined the Lehigh staff as inside linebackers coach.

Chicago Bears: According to the Chicago Tribune, the Bears are looking to a hire a scout as a resplacement for James Kirkland, who was let go before the draft.

Lehigh Valley Steelhawks: Former Lehigh player Matt Cohen has been named interim defensive coordinator of the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks of the Indoor Professional Football League.

New York Jets: According to the New York Post, assistant director of scouting Michael Davis and scout Joe Bommarito will not have their contracts renewed.

Houston Texans: Sources tell me that Montana offensive coordinator Kefense Hyson will serve an internship with the Houston Texans this summer as part of the Bill Walsh Minority internship program.

Cleveland Browns: According to the Plain-Dealer, scouts AJ Durson and Tom Headlee have been let go. Director of college scouting John Spytek is also out.

New York Jets: According to the New York Daily News, former New York Jets special teams coordinator Mike Westoff will join ESPN 98.7 to cover the pre-game and post-game radio broadcasts of the Jets.

Texas A&M: The Aggies are expanding Kyle Field to a capacity of 102,500.  See the photo.

Temple: Philly.com is reporting that Temple AD Bill Bradshaw has decided to retire. Temple has confirmed the news. Beginning on May 3, Kevin Clark will assume the responsiblity of interim AD. Bradshaw's last day will be June 30, 2013.  Temple's press release states that Bradshaw in retiring to give more time to personal issues within his family.

San Francisco 49ers: Joel Patten has been promoted to director of player personnel, while Matt Malaspina has been promoted from national scout to director of college scouting.

Bowdoin College: Sources tell me Bowdoin quarterbacks / recruiting coordinator Steve Shukie has accepted the head coaching job at Kents Hill Prep School (ME).

Cleveland Browns: According the Plain-Dealer, national scout Pat Roberts will not return to the Cleveland organization, while more dismissals are expected.

Trooper: Now, according to the Opelika-Auburn News, Auburn City Schools AD Clay McCall says Trooper Taylor will not be volunteering this spring or fall with Auburn HS.

Jacksonville Jaguars: According to Albert Breer, the Jacksonville Jaguars will hire Chris Polian as scouting director.  Polian served as part of the Falcons' staff in 2012.

Trooper: Former Auburn wide receives coach Trooper Taylor will assist the Auburn High School football program this fall, according to Christina Chambers.

Bethel College (KS): Former Northwestern State grad assistant AJ Smith has accepted the offensive coordinator position at Bethel College.

Tennessee: Athletic director Dave Hart has received a 1-year contract extension through September 18, 2018.  He has also received a $50,000 retention bonus, which brings his annual earnings to $817,250.

Ron McCrone: Let's keep veteran college coach Ron McCrone in our thoughts as he battles cancer. During his career, McCrone has coached at places such as Cornell, Jacksonville, Southern Miss, Temple, Vanderbilt, Duke, Ole Miss, Auburn, and Florida.
