Jimbo Fisher defends 9-4 record in 2011, believes Florida State has a 'really good football team'

"I said it in a couple of our alumni meetings, I think we're going to be a really good football team.  I really believe that.  I've never said it since I've been here because I know we're becoming a program because we're developing depth and I feel very good about it."

"But like I told folks the other day, I said if going into a season that you lost 4 of your top 8 offensive lineman, you lost your quarterback for two-and-a-half games, your top two tailbacks never played all year except for about three games, you lost your best receiver before the year started --- he never played a down, your next best receiver got hurt in the second game for five games, then you had a freshman who was phenomenal in Rashad Green and then he got hurt for five games --- was MVP of the bowl game, and in the bowl game you play 7 true-freshman and 8 on the field at a time with a redshirt freshman in Christian Green, and finished 9-4, who you really be disappointed?  That's what happened." Steve Sarkisian believes the Washington defensive is improved under new defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox

"I'm fired up that we are getting stops on defense. There are going to be Saturday's when we are not right offensively. There are going to be Saturdays where we do false start or do have a holding and we have to find our way. And when your defense is playing this way and you can win the field position battle and get some short fields to get your momentum back. That's encouraging. That's team football. Days like this are going to occur when your defense plays really well and your offense needs some breaks in there to find its way. Today was one of those days.''

"If I could knock the defense on something we didn't get a turnover today and we had some opportunities. We dropped a couple of interceptions and the ball was on the ground loose on a fumble, so that's the next step - not only do we stop people but how do we create turnovers to really change the momentum of the game.'' Jim McElwain jokes about the difference between Colorado State and Alabama

"Probably the size of my office and Nick's."

"I got to tell you, in that first team meeting, I asked where the o-line and d-line were.  They said, 'They're right in front of you.'  I thought they were safeties." Source: SiriusXM College Football Playbook

Kliff Kingsbury says the Texas A&M quarterback situation won't be resolved until August camp

"We want this summer to be part of the deal, part of the conversation. They all made strides. In 15 practices, for me at least, I can't see enough to make a decision."  Source: Dallas Morning News

Kevin Wilson's response when asked when Indiana will play in a bowl game

"I don't know. I didn't come in and say we were gonna do it in Year One or Year Two. If you say you wanna win X number of games, people will say 'he is pipe dreaming.' But if you sit here and say you aren't gonna win them all, I think your team thinks you don't believe in them." Source: Tom Dienhart - Big Ten Network
