Mike Leach opens spring ball at Washington State on Thursday afternoon.
It will be the first practice for new linebackers coach Ken Wilson and inside receivers coach David Yost.
Leach will utilize a Thursday-Saturday-Tuesday practice rotation throughout spring ball.
Asked today, if there is one thing he could change about spring practice, Leach said, "More days and I'd like to be able to scrimmage somebody. Not even so much like a scrimmage, game thing. That would be alright too, but like a mixed practice that they do in the NFL preseason some. Like somebody you don't play. You do an inside drill against them, or 1-on-1 against them, or pass skel against them."
Currently, each FBS program is allowed 15 practice opportunities during spring practice.
The Cougars open the 2013 season at Auburn. One week later, Wazzu will travel to Los Angeles to play USC.
