Todd Graham's locker room speech: 'Love ain't no emotion. It's a commitment'

At one point in the second quarter Saturday, Arizona State trailed Washington 17-0 and was being outgained 320 yards to 71, but the Sun Devils fought back for a 27-17 win.

The win ended a three-game losing streak, and Graham talked about character and love in his locker room speech (below).

“I know how bad you’re hurting, Salamo (Fiso). I know how bad you’re hurting. But it doesn’t matter, does it?” Graham said. “Unbelievable character on that sideline. Unbelievable. Shut them out in the second half. It feels good to win and men of character like that. It feels good to be a person of character, and I like that. I like how we responded. … I’m proud of you guys.

I love every one of you guys. Love and what it means, it ain’t no emotion, right? It’s a commitment. It’s about serving each other. That’s what getting an education is all about. The greatest thing you’re going to do in your life is to serve. You serve your wife, kids, family, brothers, teammates. It’s great to be a Sun Devil.”

ASU hosts rival Arizona next week.
