Video: Northern Illinois players go crazy after field goal challenge

Rod Carey gave the Northern Illinois Huskies a chance to get out of meetings for a night, and the players came through.

An offensive and defensive player each had to make a field goal from the 10-yard line. Both made it, and the reaction was priceless.

First up was tight end Desroy Maxwell, who didn’t have a problem with the kick. Second was linebacker Michael Santacaterina, who sent the players into a frenzy.

Special teams players already get some heat from their teammates for not having to go through the same physical requirements, and that isn’t going to stop at NIU after this.
