Urban Meyer describes his mindset for the Buckeyes' BYE weekend

Ohio State is 6-0 and does not play this weekend.
Urban Meyer believes the BYE week came at the right time for the Buckeyes, who have presumably heard Meyer’s philosophical belief about how player should handle their free time this weekend.
Meyer said following Wednesday’s practice, “Some people see a BYE week and they go act like jerk over the weekend. That’s not what BYE weeks are for. Football is a tough, violent, contact sport, so your joints and shoulders and everything needs a break. That’s what it’s for. To come back 8 pounds underweight or 8 pound overweight and not at least watching football, that would be a disgrace and I’d have a real problem with that. So there is a weigh-in on Monday morning and they better be right on the dot.”
In other words, Urban isn’t interested in anyone’s weekend binger plan.
Ohio State is on a mission, one that resumes with Iowa in two weeks. The rest of the schedules shapes up as follows: Penn State, at Purdue, at Illinois, Indiana, and at Michigan.
