Photo: Notre Dame sends 477 pieces of mail to recruit in unique pitch

Is this a new record for mail sent to a recruit?

Class of 2014 linebacker recruit Nyles Morgan recently tweeted what he received from Notre Dame: 477 pieces of mail dubbed the “Pot of Gold.”

Why 477? The letter explains:

“477 represents the number of total NFL draft picks we’ve had here at ND. In each envelope there’s a custom graphic with the name and pick# of each and every draftee. Your future is bright -  Just like the other 477 men before you. Come continue the legacy… Become college football royalty!”

Credit Notre Dame recruiting analyst J.R. Sandlin for doing the work. His Twitter name is signed on the letter. I hope he got some time off to rest that hand after all the writing.

This is probably one of the most unique recruiting pitches out there when it comes to sending a crazy amount of letters to a recruit, though the number will likely change by the time Morgan enrolls at a school.
