Photo: Northwestern reveals USA-themed gray uniforms

We’ve seen many uniform adjustments to include the American flag design to honor the military, but Northwestern is taking that to another level.

The Wildcats will wear gray jerseys with red, white and blue shoulders, gloves, cleats and helmets against Michigan on Nov. 16.

The uniforms are part of the Wounded Warrior Collection by Under Armour. As you can tell, it is designed like Maryland's state pride uniforms.

The uniform doesn’t look at all like Northwestern, but that’s obviously not the point. 100 percent of the proceeds from a game-worn jersey auction will go to the WWP.

The name plates will say either “Duty” or “Courage.”
