James Franklin: When you wake up, there's going to be electricity in this city

In light of disappointing ticket sales, James Franklin had an opportunity to send a message to Vanderbilt fans at the end of his first radio show of the season on Thursday night.
Franklin didn’t go Nick Saban style, but anyone that was listening likely came away with some extra motivation to show up next Thursday night when the Commodores host Ole Miss at 8:15 CT.
Franklin said, “I know we all have HD TV, but there is nothing like going to a game. You smell the burgers in the air, you smell the hotdogs in the air, you hear the band playing, and you see the community coming together. When we wake up on Thursday morning, all of us, there is going to be electricity in this city.
"You’re going to feel it in the air. You can’t create that in your living room. Like I mentioned before, we have a great city. We have enough population in middle Tennessee and this area to come out and support a great story and great team. And we need you. I think that’s the reality. We need everybody there.”
Below, you can relive Saban’s speech in 2008 to the Crimson Tide fan base.
