College football's Tuesday night schedule in 2016

Posted by: Chris Vannini on Tuesday June 21, 2016

College football isn’t just a Saturday affair. Late in the season, we get games as many as five days a week.

Over the past decade, mid-week games have become the norm, with the Mid-American Conference leading the way. The Sun Belt has also gotten into the game recently. Remember Northern Illinois' 63-60 win over Toledo in 2011? That was a Tuesday.

There are nine Tuesday games in 2016. That's one more than last season, but over four weeks, compared to six weeks last year.

There are no Sun Belt games, only MAC, and 10 of the 13 MAC teams have a Tuesday game. Of those teams, six made a bowl game last year.

Here’s this year’s Tuesday schedule:

Week 10 (Nov. 1)

Bowling Green at Northern Illinois - 8 p.m. ET (ESPN2/U/WatchESPN.com)

Western Michigan at Ball State - 8 p.m. (ESPN2/U/WatchESPN.com)
