College football's Thursday night schedule in 2016

We’ve looked at the mid-week schedule this week, but Thursday is by far the most loaded.

There are 32 Thursday games between FBS schools this year, down from 36 a year ago. Including FCS opponents, there are 41 Thursday FBS games total. Every week except Week 2 has a Thursday game.

All 10 conferences have at least one team involved in a Thursday game, including all but the Big 12 in Week 1. You can always count on a Thursday result or two that has a major effect on the college football season. Remember Arizona’s win at Oregon in 2014 or Clemson’s narrow win over Louisville last year en route to a 12-0 regular season.
