Breaking down the open jobs in FBS college football

There are still more than 20 assistant coaching jobs open in FBS college football.

It’s been a busy coaching carousel, one that saw 28 head coaching changes and several high profile assistants move. That’s not to mention assistants who became head coaches, such as Kirby Smart, Mike Norvell, Scott Frost and Frank Wilson.

Some moves over the past week included Clay Jennings from Arkansas to Texas, Darren Hiller to USF and Ball State and UTSA filling out their staffs. With spring practice getting underway, these jobs will start to be filled quickly.

Of the 22 remaining openings, here’s how they break down:
